Live Now: Paul McCartney at Tampa's Amalie Arena

It's been a long and winding road, a magical mystery tour indeed, but today, after 12 long years, Paul McCartney will finally get back to Tampa.

McCartney's One On One Tour hits Amalie Arena at 8 p.m. tonight, his first local show since 2005. And the Tampa Bay Times is ON IT. We'll be coming at you all evening with photos and reports from the scene.

The tour kicked off in Miami Friday night, with reviewers calling his 37-song performance"incredibly varied" and "a night of communion and joy, sing-alongs and standing ovations" and "an endless series of highlights -- some might call it an embarrassment of riches."

Here's what you need to know if you're heading to the show.

    Cooking

When I'm in need of a summertime "grab and run" meal that has extreme flavor and crunch, chopped salads are my answer. The five I turn to most are easy to pack and don't require cooking.

Hot enough for ya? From the constant heat of Florida to the Midwest scorchers and finally the triple-digit temperatures in the Southwest, 2017 has been another year of burning up, but it's nothing new as in the '80s we were Burning Up with Madonna.

  5. Five ideas for cooking with ground turkey

    Cooking

I rarely cook with ground beef. Ground turkey became the go-to ground protein in my kitchen years ago. As meats go, it's pretty ideal: not a ton of raw meat juices, easy enough to cook in a pinch, more flavor than ground chicken. I sub turkey in for just about any recipe that calls for ground beef, except on …
