Calling food fans: This weekend has food festivals in Dunedin, Indian Rocks Beach and more

because things are about to get real for Tampa Bay foodies.

TAMPA GREEK FESTIVAL

One of the biggest events this weekend is the Tampa Greek Festival at St. John Greek Orthodox Church and School in Tampa. It’s the festival’s 37th year celebrating Greek heritage and culture with Mediterranean cuisine, church tours, a play zone, full bar, shopping and Greek dancing. $2, 11 and younger free, and free Friday until 4 p.m. Benefits LifePath Hospice. 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, until 6 p.m. Sunday. 2418 W Swann Ave., Tampa. DUNEDIN WINES
THE BLUES FESTIVAL

On Saturday, listen to blues by Boxcar Hollow, Chris Walker Band, Ally Venable, Jeremy Thomas and Southern Rumble and Anthony Rosano and the Conquerroos at the Dunedin Wines the Blues Festival as you enjoy wines from around the world and food from area restaurants and top area food trucks. 3 to 11 p.m. Free admission; food/wine are for sale. TASTE OF INDIAN ROCKS BEACH

Bring beach chairs or blankets to settle in and enjoy live music at Saturday’s Taste of Indian Rocks Beach while sampling fare from local restaurants. The lineup this year includes Marlin Darlin, Aqua Prime and Guppy’s on the Beach, along with wine and beer, and the chance to vote for best cuisine. No coolers or dogs. Free shuttle pickup at nearby Calvary Church at 16th Avenue; boaters can dock at nearby Keegan Clair Park south of the festival. 3 to 9 p.m. Free, food and drink additional. CHOWDER CHALLENGE

On Sunday the Chowder Challenge gets under way, with local chefs competing to come up with the best-tasting chowder, as celebrity judges Tyson Grant, Matthew Smith and Chris Fernandez award the Golden Ladle for creativity, taste and presentation. Guests sample chowders and vote for People’s Choice, accompanied by music by the Boat of Us and the Stowaways. MIMOSAS AND MASTERPIECES

On Sunday, the Salvador Dalí Museum hosts Mimosas and Masterpieces. Guests tuck into exhibit-inspired brunch dishes and drinks before exploring the museum. 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event is included with admission ($24, $22 seniors, $17 students and children 13-17, $10 children 6-12), but food and drink are additional charges. 1 Dalí Blvd., St. Petersburg. PINELLAS CHOCOLATE CO.

The relatively new Pinellas Chocolate Co. is offering an evening kitchen tour 7:30 to 9 p.m. Friday. Guests can follow the journey of chocolate-making, from raw cocoa beans to completion. They can discuss the polymorphic nature of cocoa butter, or if that sounds too intellectual, they can taste the difference between tempered and untempered chocolate. $10. 10550 72nd St. N, Largo. TURKEY TALK

For those of us who are a little hazy on the details of how our Thanksgiving bird arrives at the table, on Saturday in Brooksville there’s a Turkey Talk. Attendees will learn how game bird management ensures a turkey for every table for the future, and along the way helps save space for other species.
