Tampa Greek Festival: Opa! The 37th annual festival celebrates Greek heritage and culture with Mediterranean cuisine, church tours, a play zone, full bar, shopping and Greek dancing. Ribfest: Paul Rodgers: This annual festival by the bay features music, delicious ribs and fair food like funnel cakes, pretzels and more. This year’s headliners are Bad Company’s Paul Rodgers, Styx singer Dennis DeYoung, Orleans and Ambrosia and country great Charlie Daniels Band. The Bad Company lead singer headlines opening night. Veterans Day Ceremony and Parade : James A Haley Veterans Hospital, 13000 Bruce B. Downs Blvd, will hold a Veteran’s Day ceremony and parade from 10 a.m. to noon on Nov. 10. The event will feature Tampa Bay’s finest marching bands, organizations and community members. Col. Cary Harbaugh, director of U.S. SOCOM Warrior Care Coalition, will speak at the ceremony. Veterans Day Freedom Fest: Celebrate those who served in the military in this two-day celebration that includes live entertainment, food vendors, patriotic arts and crafts, resources for veterans, kids zone and more. Friday’s festivities include a Freedom Fighters Feast for invited veterans and dignitaries. Saturday’s festivities include a parade starting at 3 p.m. (starting at intersection of Gulf Drive and Grand Boulevard, heading north on Grand around Orange Lane, and ending on Bank Street).
