Tampa girl who went missing after school is found

TAMPA — A 12-year-old girl was found late Wednesday, police said, after an hours-long search by authorities when she didn't come home from school.

A county bus driver recognized pictures of Tatianna Marie Bonner sent out by Tampa police Wednesday night, and directed authorities to the Hyde Park area, where she was found.

Tatianna did not show up at the home she usually goes to after school — 2716 N Jefferson St. — prompting police to search with officers, dogs and helicopters Wednesday evening.

Family members told police earlier in the day that there "was a chance" Bonner ran away, according to Tampa police.
