Semi catches fire on I-75, shuts down northbound lanes in Sun City Center

Northbound lanes on Interstate 75 were closed in Sun City Center on Friday morning after a semi trailer loaded with cardboard caught fire.

The incident occurred near the State Road 674 exit, 240A, and prompted officials to close two northbound lanes of I-75, according to Hillsborough Fire Rescue.

No injuries were reported, fire officials said.

Motorists can take U.S. 41 as an alternate route.
