The man police say killed two luxury resort employees on Longboat Key and was on the run for nearly a week was arrested on Wednesday.
Darryl Hanna Jr., 29, now faces two second-degree murder charges and one count of armed robbery, according to Longboat Key police. Police said they found Hanna hiding at a home in East Bradenton around 4 p.m. He was arrested without incident.
On Aug. 4, police say Hanna tried to rob two workers at the Zota Beach Resort in Manatee County. The confrontation resulted in the deaths of a security guard and front-desk manager of the new hotel: Kevin Carter, 51, of Bradenton, and Timothy Hurley, 59, of Sarasota.
Hanna is being held at Manatee County Jail without bail.
