Police: 12-year-old boy struck by car on Clearwater Beach

CLEARWATER — A 12-year-old boy was hospitalized after he was hit by a car while crossing the road on Clearwater Beach.

The boy was using a crosswalk in front of the Gulfview Hotel at 625 S Gulfview Blvd. when he was struck by a 2014 Toyota Avalon, according to Clearwater police.

The boy was taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg via helicopter.
