Saturday's Rays-Red Sox game moved up to 1:05
Saturday's Rays-Red Sox game has been moved up to 1:05 due to a forecast for heavy rain in the Boston area Saturday night.
First pitch had been slated for 7:10.
The Sox have ace lefty Chris Sale slated to start, so that may have figured into their decision, which they said was made in consultation with the Rays and MLB. Per the Sox, the Saturday forecast calls for "sustained periods of rain to begin in the late afternoon hours and continue in Sunday, with temperatures in the 40s.
There will be radio coverage on 620-WDAE and the Rays radio network; no word yet on whether Fox Sports Sun will provide TV coverage.
