DEVELOPING: After hanging on for a 5-4 win Friday night, the Rays are back on Fenway Park field early today in a game moved up to 1:05 p.m to beat heavy rain forecast for later.
LHP Blake Snell willl be on the mound for the Rays, seeking to snap a stretch of six straight starts where he didn't go more than five innings.
The challenge will be on the Rays hitters, as they have struck out more than any other team in the majors and are facing Sox LHP Chris Sale, who has fanned the most batters in the majors.
OF Steven Souza Jr. is hoping to return to the Rays lineup for what will be the first time since bruising his right thumb on Monday.
