Shopping Planner: The Tampa Bay Etsy Craft Party returns, Jameis Winston gets his own backpack and more

Creative Convention: Tampa Bay Etsy Craft Party
If there was ever any doubt about the incredible number of creative people in Tampa Bay, this party will dispel that notion. The Tampa Bay Etsy Crew’s Etsy Craft Party returns to downtown St. Petersburg’s Coliseum on Saturday, bringing artists, makers and vintage sellers together for a day of craft appreciation. They’ll have make-and-take projects and “live skill” demonstrations, including DIY wood signs from Aerie Lane, polymer clay sculptures with Judy Freeman and mandala making with Becky Blitch of With These Hands. Vendors run the gamut, too, including pottery from Barro y Arena (pictured), unusual jewelry from Freak Show Follies and plants from O’Berry’s Succulents. Get there early: The first 100 adults through the door get a Dark Cycle Clothing tote bag full of swag from vendors, sponsors and makers. 11 a.m.-4 p.m. 535 Fourth Ave. N.

Stay Fly: Jameis Winston Backpack Signing
Rub elbows with one of Tampa Bay’s most prominent athletes and get yourself a fresh bag while you’re doing it at Fly, a streetwear boutique in International Plaza. Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston inspired New York backpack company Sprayground to create a backpack for him, called Jameis Winston Pirate Shark. Winston will be signing bags purchased at Fly on July 13. 4-7 p.m. 2223 N West Shore Blvd., Tampa.

Summer Nights: Friday at the Fountain
Summer’s here, school’s out and you’re probably looking for something fun and family-friendly to do. Hyde Park Village’s Friday at the Fountain features live music, a bubble performer and a bunch of in-store events and activities. Surf Outfitter has a tie-dye station; Don Me Now will have chick flicks, bubbly and free snacks from Chef Inspired Popcorn Company; and Vineyard Vines has a photo booth. Color Me Mine is offering $1 studio fees plus free treats, you can enter to win a $50 gift certificate from the Carlton Ward Gallery and Kendra Scott has a storewide 15 percent discount. There’s free cotton candy for the first 60 guests at Cotton Candy Bar, so get there early. 6-8 p.m. 1631 Snow Circle, Tampa.
