  10. Pinellas County embarks on $19-million project to pull muck out of Lake Seminole

    Environment

SEMINOLE — Environmental experts, always concerned about the water quality of Lake Seminole, are assessing how much Hurricane Irma may have stirred up the nearly 1 million cubic yards of muck that lay on the bottom.

Despite the expenditure of more than $30 million over nearly two decades, improved water quality in Lake Seminole remains elusive. What to watch this week: Fall TV kicks off with 'Will & Grace,' 'Young Sheldon,' return of 'This Is Us'

September temperatures are still creeping into the 90s, but fall officially started a few days ago. And with that designation comes the avalanche of new and returning TV shows. The Big Bang Theory fans get a double dose of Sheldon Cooper's nerdisms with the return of the titular series for an eleventh season and the premiere of spinoff series Young Sheldon. Both This Is Us on NBC and Brooklyn Nine-Nine on Fox return this week for more tears and belly laughs. And yes, honey, Will & Grace returns 11 years later with just enough nostalgia and a dash of funny politics. I hope you're ready, bingers. This TV season isn't slowing down anytime soon....
